Work is underway at the new residence at Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula designed by Catt Architects. Architectural Cladding Australia is currently supplying ARCHCLAD™ Aluminium Satin Black which will clad the roof and a large part of the facade.
The panel system used on the roof is Cliptray which is very similar in appearance to the traditional European Standing Seam. Like the Standing Seam System, Cliptray has the same waterproof characteristics which makes it particularly useful for roof applications. However, Cliptray does not require clips and seaming as the panels lock into each other thanks to the special Cliptray jointing system. This saves money compared to the Standing Seam System as well as a significant amount of time during installation. See below the close up photographs of this revolutionary roofing system.
For large roof areas that collect notable quantities of rainwater, the gutters must be carefully designed to ensure adequate capacity while the flashings and joints must be completely water sealed. Special expansion joints are also required at regular intervals in the gutter to avoid the damage that the expansion of such a long length of metal can bring about. Note that the gutter, despite its size, is almost invisible from the ground and does not interrupt the continuity of the Cliptray joints.
The walls feature the Interlocking Express Panel System in the same material (ARCHCLAD™Aluminium Satin Black). Thanks to the skills and experience of our technical team and of our qualified installers, elegant flashing solutions were custom designed at the meeting points between the two systems to ensure effective waterproofing and aesthetic qualities.
In the rapidly developing South Korea, several families like the Daeyang have made their mark in the Korean advanced culture of industrial production. Their tremendous economic success inevitably called for the creation of a residence and art gallery that would match their social status. The location selected is in the hills of the Kangbuk section of Seoul, just above the city, which traditionally provided diplomats and leaders of the community with their residential quarter.
Steven Holl, a renowned New-York Based architect was invited to design the Daeyang collection together with a residence for the Chairman. As with many previous projects, the Daeyang residence was inspired from the patterns found in musical scores. Indeed the sketch for the score Symphony of Modules by Istvan Anhalt (1967, Montreal) provided the initial point of departure for this project, inspiring the sequence of voids, the modular volumes, the light shafts and the pond which continuously unites, reflects and divides the project elements.
Steven Holl chose to clad the three Light Pavilions overlooking the pool in Corten Steel Panles. The resulting solid monumental look of the Pavilions creates a strong contrast with the ethereal aspect of the water surface resulting in a uniquely striking space.
In 2012 Architectural Cladding Australia Pty Ltd supplied and installed the cladding for the Saint Mary Of The Cross Mausoleum designed by Harmer Architecture for the Italian community of Melbourne. The Mausoleum builder - Walton Construction Pty Ltd - won the Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards 2012 for the "Construction of Commercial Buildings $5M - $10M".
This project provides over 1,000 crypts, offering a variety of burial options. It is the first mausoleum in Australia to combine above and below ground crypts.

In 2011 Architectural Cladding Australia Pty Ltd collaborated with Icon Construction Australia Pty Ltd to supply and install the cladding on the top level of the Marina Residences. The material chosen is 1.0mm thick PVDF Painted Aluminium colour Satin Black in Interlocking Express Panels.
The Marina Residences is located in one of the most exclusive harbour-side settings at 130 NewQuay Promenade, New Quay Docklands and was designed by international award winning architects McBride Charles Ryan.
Completed in 2011, the Marina Residences comprises of 22 luxury townhouses overlooking the sweeping cityscape to the east, Port Phillip Bay sunsets to the west and the lush gardens of Quay Park to the north.
We visited the New Quay precinct at Docklands after three years to see how well our Aluminium cladding is performing and it still looks as new. Despite being exposed to the sea water, salt spray and strong winds, the ARCHCLAD™ PVDF Pre - Painted Aluminium Cladding maintains a vibrant colour, no salt deposits on the joints (even on the soffits).
Therefore ARCHCLAD's PVDF Pre- Painted Aluminium Cladding seems to be the best choice for Marine Environments when it comes to selecting an elegant weather-proof cladding at an affordable price with long term warranties!
Designed by Peddle Thorpe Architects and constructed by Comdain Homes, this elegant residential complex comprising of eight units has been built with an emphasis on low energy consumption and low maintenance. The modular housing concept has been successfully applied to achieve a modern design where natural light flows freely between indoor and outdoor living spaces thus creating a high quality living environment while keeping the building costs down.
The cladding solutions offered by Architectural Cladding Australia Pty Ltd responded successfully to the required long-term warranties, hermetic weather proofing and thermal inertia criteria as well as enhancing the modern look of the residences. Two materials were chosen to add different character to the units: mill finish Copper and VM Zinc Quartz both in the Flat-lock Panel system.
